Tonight’s blog is a little different than normal. It was written on the notes app of my phone on the ride home from the worship night our team went to. It’s raw and a little unorganized but I think that reflects the night as a whole. It’s a testimony of Jesus’s goodness and unconditional love! Enjoy and feel free to ask any and all questions!

Tonight teams Harvest and Othy 412 went to Serve Hope Coffee shop worship night in Antigua!

Started out worshiping per usual

Then went to the prayer room to pray about my calling

Came back into the main area and sat in a new spot

A little while after coming back they played “He decidido seguir a Jesús” (I have decided to follow Jesus) which the song in English has a lot of meaning to me, but when in Spanish has even more! That in its self was the answered prayer I needed from earlier tonight!

Felt called to pray for the man sitting next to me but didn’t because I was nervous because my Spanish vocab is not that great

A man then came and prayed over him and as soon as he stopped and left he opened his Bible and started joyfully laughing before turning around tapping my arm and saying in English “it’s so real” to which I responded “yes it is! Do you speak English?” And finding the chapter he was reading in my Bible. He then said he does speak some English, it was then I knew God was probably looking down laughing and saying, “I made the initiative, now go!” I asked him his name, which is Jose and asked if I could pray over him. He explained to me what happened tonight and it was evident that tonight he was finding the true love of Jesus for the first time after being stuck in tradition. I then prayed over him as the night finished up, perfect timing as I almost didn’t follow the call. I prayed that the Lord would just ignite a fire in his heart that he could share with everyone else, that it was so clear he has been rescued by Jesus and that his life is now forever changed because he belongs to Jesus! After we both stood up Noah came over and we both started talking to him getting to know him more. Tonight was his first time he came to Thursday worship night, a friend invited him a couple weeks earlier but he had his dogs and used it as an excuse. His friend then said “they can come in too”… all his excuses had just been demolished so he gave in and tried it. Jose explained how he used to go to a Catholic church, but after tonight has been captured by Jesus and knows that’s not his spot anymore. Jose left Serve Hope a new creation with a heart full of the joy only found in Jesus!

While there Jesus taught me 2 things I want to share with you:

1. Don’t let fear stop you from praying  or talking to someone, if you feel the call it’s not an accident and the Lord will provide what’s needed to share what He needs you to
2. INVITE! Jose’s friend invited him, and although he was stubborn at first it brought him home to Jesus! Invite people to church, a worship night, a Bible study and don’t be afraid to hear “No” because it puts the thought in their mind and allows the Lord to stir in their hearts.
